CEO & Managing Director of GAX MD
Mr. Ronnie Tan is currently the CEO & Managing Director of GAX MD. His role includes strengthening the digital investment management ecosystem, aside from creating a working culture that promotes customer centricity, creative innovation and collaborative intelligence. He brings with him more than 35 years of experience in the financial, investment and capital market industry.
Since 2001, Mr. Ronnie has been the Managing Director of Silverlake Capital Market Solution, where he spearheaded the Silverlake Group in developing innovative solutions for the funds management and investment banking industry. He is responsible for the overall business growth, technology innovation, fostering strategic collaborations and creating value for clients. He also leads the Silverlake Group’s Fintech Transformation strategy.
Prior to joining the Silverlake Group, Mr. Ronnie served as Group Head of IT and Operations for Hwang-DBS Investment Bank. Mr. Ronnie also served as the First Vice President, Chief Information Officer Group IT and Banking Operations for OCBC Bank. In both of these positions, he was primarily responsible for the bank’s strategic planning, digital innovation, operations and process re-engineering.
Mr. Ronnie received an Honours Degree in Computer Science and Accounting from Monash University, Australia in 1984.
