Professor Gayle Morris is the Pro Vice Chancellor, Learning and Teaching, Office of the Vice Chancellor. Professor Morris has been actively involved in teaching and learning development in Higher Education for over 20 years, in Australia, Hong Kong and New Zealand. Much of her current work focuses on leading the strategic direction in shaping the future of learning at AUT. This includes driving curriculum reform, technology enhanced learning, and in aligning innovative approaches to supporting capacity building in staff. An active teacher herself in Design Thinking, she is passionate about the transformative nature of learning. Her academic background is in adult, work based and professional learning with research interest in professional learning, work based learning and assessment. Gayle is Vice President of the Council of Australasian Learning and Teaching Leaders and is an Associate Member of the New Zealand Work Research Institute.
