CEO, Hong Leong MSIG Takaful
Mohd Asri Omar, the Chief Executive Officer of Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad (HLMT) is also a member of the Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA) Management Committee since 2018.
Mohd Asri graduated with a Bachelor in Law (LLB) and a Bachelor in Shariah (LLB(S)) from the International Islamic University Malaysia and holds an MBA in Insurance & Financial Services from Malaysian Graduate School of Management. He is also a graduate of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) Fellowship program.
Prior to his current role as HLMT CEO, he has 20 years of working experience in Takaful industry holding various positions in business strategy and development, legal, secretarial, Shariah, operations, risk management and compliance. He was also part of the team executing a merger and business integration of Malaysia Takaful entities a few years ago.
