He transformed a barren, swampy island into a leading, state-of-the-art multi-cargo seaport terminal in Port Klang called Westports. Under his stewardship, Westports, which employs an all-Malaysian workforce of 4,500 people, has six terminals with the capacity to handle 11 million containers. As of 2015, it controls about 76% market share in the container traffic passing through Port Klang. Today, it is one of the top five terminals in the world in terms of productivity and the second busiest port in South-East Asia.
